Your learning begins before our first in-person session. The Baseworks Primer is a self-paced online course covering the foundational principles of movement patterns, distributed activation, intensity modification, and movement transitions. These concepts form the vocabulary for our hands-on work together.
The Primer serves as a companion to the in-person sessions, and we’ll share recommended pacing upon booking confirmation to help you integrate both elements of the program.
Access begins immediately upon enrollment and continues beyond the program. You’ll also join a dedicated community forum exclusively for your cohort, keeping you connected with fellow participants throughout your learning journey.

Most exercise and movement practices focus on physical results – strength, flexibility, or specific techniques. While these practices can lead to deeper insights, Baseworks is designed specifically for insight. Our method develops awareness and understanding of movement first, which naturally improves both physical and mental capabilities across other disciplines and daily activities.
You need to be able to stand without support and get up from the floor independently. We work with everyday movements that adapt to your current mobility, flexibility, and strength level. You’ll never be required to do something beyond your capacity. Contact us if you have mobility concerns or chronic conditions.
We consistently hear from dancers, athletes, and other experienced movement practitioners: “This is more challenging than I expected.” Baseworks approaches movement in ways that challenge even seasoned movers. The work is technical, demands attention, and often feels unfamiliar regardless of your background. If you’re curious and engaged, we’re pretty sure that you’ll find it very interesting.
These are practice sessions designed to learn the Baseworks Approach through movement. Sessions include guided exercises and occasional partner work, with hands-on feedback to support your progress. Some sessions allow questions throughout, while others include Q&A at the end.
When you register for a Study Group, you receive 3 months of access to Primer that you can start immediately. Detailed guidelines will be provided upon enrolment.
Attendance at all sessions is encouraged but not required. Missed sessions are non-refundable. Please review our participation policy terms before enrolling.
As a dancer, I experienced numerous injuries and reached a point where only dancing could no longer maintain my body's health. Incorporating Baseworks into my routine allowed me to sustain my dancing career. Baseworks enabled me to cultivate and grow aspects of my dance practice that previously relied solely on the more resilient athleticism that was more prevalent during my youth. Baseworks allows me to observe and understand my body on a deeper level.
No other practice has encouraged me this much to be aware of my own body, to see and work with my limitations. My posture and sleep got better. I've got a higher self esteem, and I feel better overall. Also the mental control and awareness have a very huge impact on my life.
As a person who has never been athletic and does not have the greatest "body awareness," I really appreciate that Baseworks has provided me the platform to develop this in a safe and effective way. Regular practice has helped me gain confidence, decreased my nerves/anxiety/fears and helped regulate my overall mood to deal with stress more effectively.
What I appreciate about Baseworks is how its methodology resonates logically with me, promoting a sense of autonomy in my practice that I find deeply satisfying. There's a distinct sense of professionalism. Everything feels polished and well-designed. You get the impression that all the instructors are genuinely committed to teaching consistently. This is an aspect I have rarely found elsewhere, and I believe it's one of Baseworks' strongest points.
Although ballet emphasizes correct form and beauty of movement, it can be taxing for the body. As a ballerina in training, I had a lot of injuries that typically required chiropractic and osteopathic interventions. Yet, I feel like Baseworks is really beneficial for body conditioning.
I got more confidence in my body, how to use it, and how to control it. Before Baseworks, I always had heaviness in my shoulders, and it was difficult for me to keep my spine straight. my shoulders were at different levels. So, after practicing Baseworks, my body became more straight and aligned. Also, I felt very awake and happy, and relieved from all the stress that I had.
Entrepreneurs are told that they have to go to the limit and destroy themselves, sacrificing their wellbeing. The Baseworks principle of managing intensity with its practical part can help entrepreneurs apply in life in other facets. I was fascinated by this transference.
I feel I get everything that I need in Baseworks practice. Doing one program is very good for me. Basically, it’s the same exercises, but still, in Baseworks, it feels like I'm learning something new in every class. I get so many more dimensions in every exercise that we do. Sometimes, it’s really the small movements that make the difference. Even though it's the same, I just realize things. And that feeling of realizing something, it’s very good!
Baseworks helped me to feel more aware of my body, helping to generate a better sound and more confidence when I am on stage.
