Working With and Against Gravity

As long as we are on Earth, we are and will continue to be pulled down by gravity. It is a force that grounds us, at the same time, pulls us down. It is a force so fundamental to how we function and move, yet we are often oblivious of it unless we experience a sudden fall.

In this VS, we will bring awareness to how the gravitational force works on us and how to best move in relation to it. We will start by selecting specific forms/movements that work in relation to different gravitational pulls to familiarize ourselves with this idea. Based on this, we will explore different ways to approach the same form/movement so as to better work with and, at times to work effectively against gravity.

What are virtual Sessions?

Virtual Sessions are a “live” educational format offered on the Baseworks Practice Platform.

Whereas the Online Practice Sessions are designed to provide the opportunity to develop your practice through repetition, the Virtual Sessions are designed to provide real-time feedback and insight, which can then be re-applied during the Online Practice Sessions.

The level of interactivity in the Virtual Sessions is dependent on the interest/involvement of the participants and may vary from session to session.

Each virtual session lasts from 60 to 90 minutes.
