The Baseworks definition(s) of progress

We say this a lot, but the Baseworks Method focuses first on understanding limitations. And we have several tools which can be used to better understand limitations in a broader sense.

Surprisingly, one’s level of proficiency in one thing can reveal major setbacks in the progress of something else. And we also call that a limitation.

We experience this a lot with new students that come to the practice and try and superimpose their proficiency in something unrelated to their experience in Baseworks.

The process of deconditioning is the first limitation that needs to be examined in order to really benefit from practicing Baseworks and later transfer that onto any other experience. This sounds paradoxical, but experiencing Baseworks should clarify things pretty quickly.

This VS will focus on how we sense the body’s position in space utilizing the Baseworks gridlines and Symmetry principles. This is a great session for anyone from any background wanting more tools to better understand what the body is capable of doing.

This VS will be approximately 20% theory and 80% practice.

What are virtual Sessions?

Virtual Sessions are a “live” educational format offered on the Baseworks Practice Platform.

Whereas the Online Practice Sessions are designed to provide the opportunity to develop your practice through repetition, the Virtual Sessions are designed to provide real-time feedback and insight, which can then be re-applied during the Online Practice Sessions.

The level of interactivity in the Virtual Sessions is dependent on the interest/involvement of the participants and may vary from session to session.

Each virtual session lasts from 60 to 90 minutes.
