Mobilizing the Spine

The spine is made up of small bones called vertebrae, which are stacked on top of one another to create the natural curves of the back. The vertebrae are 33 individual bones that interlock with each other, creating structure simultaneously, allowing us to move our upper torso in differing ways.

In this VS, we will explore ways in which we can enhance the mobility of our spine and bring awareness to it. We will break down the spinal movements specific to Baseworks, such as Spinal Micromovements and the Flexion-Extension-Flexion movement of the spine.

This VS will be approximately 20% theory and 80% practice.

What are virtual Sessions?

Virtual Sessions are a “live” educational format offered on the Baseworks Practice Platform.

Whereas the Online Practice Sessions are designed to provide the opportunity to develop your practice through repetition, the Virtual Sessions are designed to provide real-time feedback and insight, which can then be re-applied during the Online Practice Sessions.

The level of interactivity in the Virtual Sessions is dependent on the interest/involvement of the participants and may vary from session to session.

Each virtual session lasts from 60 to 90 minutes.
