The Baseworks Method’s deep detail might make you question its suitability for online learning.
However, we have some exciting news—it’s exceptionally well-suited for online education.
Here’s why:
The features of Baseworks highly compatible with online learning
- It was designed over many years of experimentation to be accessible to individuals with low body awareness who found it challenging to understand cue-based instruction. So, it is intended and have been selected to be clear and unambiguous.
- The Method prioritizes verbal instructions and demonstrations instead of physical hands-on guidance. Videos shot from various camera angles offer considerably more information than what’s typically available in a traditional in-person learning/classroom setting.
- The instructional cues provide clear guidance to address common physical limitations, in an easy-to-understand, straightforward format: “If A, do X” or “If B, do Y.” This explicit information can be easily applied to various other physical activities.
- The Baseworks Meta, the digital-only animated mini-lectures about Baseworks, are the essence of what we have been teaching in Master Classes and Workshops designed to complement the Baseworks Practice classes. They provide the element of insight and facilitate the cognitive understanding of the tasks to facilitate neuroplasticity and skill formation through practice.
By joining our online platform, you can anticipate a learning experience comparable to, or potentially more effective than, in-person learning.
Importantly, we highly appreciate motivated learners, and we are here to address any questions you may have about the Method and its optimal utilization for your body type and alternative activities.
What people say about their experience in online learning in the Baseworks Method
Here are a few accounts from people whose experience with Baseworks has been limited to online format only:
It was very interesting to observe how my ability to be conscious of various body areas was expanding and deepening. Each time, I was discovering new challenges and changed the way I dealt with them. I experienced how a regular practice led to a steady transformation of my body. In particular, my right knee used to be weakened due to an injury, but I learned how to work on and improve the muscle strength and flexibility of my right leg as a whole.

I feel a complete detox of emotions and negative energies every time I finish practicing Baseworks. This is something that I have never gained through any other sports
Lin (age 32)
From a physical level, the general condition of my body has improved, especially around my hip/groin/pelvis area where I believe I was very tight. I often attend hot yoga Vinyasa classes and what I have learnt in Baseworks I also apply now in these classes to engage my whole body to a higher level. Baseworks has taught me a far more in depth account of how to move my body during a regular yoga class.

I’m flexible, but I haven’t had a Headstand for years. By training daily at Baseworks Practice, I was able to activate the shoulders supporting the headstand, the strength of the arms, the whole body, and the legs (I was never told this in any other class), and do it without the support of the wall.
