The beauty of dance lies in a journey of grace through a palette of movements interconnected via the understanding of the laws of gravity in relation to movement capacity. In Baseworks, we work on the connective refinement and economy of movement from one movement to the next. Here, the relationship with gravity, base of support, and how we strategize transitioning from one movement to the other becomes important.
In this VS, we dig into the concept of Connecting Strategy and uncover ways in which one can effectively and efficiently move better during one’s practice, both for the practice of Baseworks itself, as well as any other movement modalities.
This VS will be approximately 20% theory and 80% practice and will be conducted in Japanese.

What are virtual Sessions?
Virtual Sessions are a “live” educational format offered on the Baseworks Practice Platform.
Whereas the Online Practice Sessions are designed to provide the opportunity to develop your practice through repetition, the Virtual Sessions are designed to provide real-time feedback and insight, which can then be re-applied during the Online Practice Sessions.
The level of interactivity in the Virtual Sessions is dependent on the interest/involvement of the participants and may vary from session to session.
Each virtual session lasts from 60 to 90 minutes.
